This is in the Toys n games category, but it should be under hardware.
I normally use reading glasses when working on scale models. But if I use any of the stronger magnification optivisor lenses, I can't use them in conjunction with the reading glasses, the visor becomes too strong and the focal length too short. That means I have to keep switching between glasses and visor. Doesn't work very well. But with these weaker lenses I can keep the reading glasses on and get a reasonable focal length, and can flip them up when I don't need the visor. problem solved!

The Donegan replacement lens plate for the OptiVISOR hands-free, headband binocular magnifier, has an optical-grade, acrylic lens ground and polished into a prismatic lens, and is available in multiple dioptric strengths which provide specific magnification power (X) at specified focal lengths, or distance from object. This magnifier enhances the size and resolution of an object or image, and is commonly used for a variety of applications such as jewelry-making, watch-making, knitting, artwork, electronic inspection, book-reading, print inspection, and stamp-collecting.

The OptiVISOR replacement lens plate is made of a durable plastic material. It is constructed to interchange in and out of the OptiVISOR body with ease. The replacement lens plate comes housed in a protective carrying case, and has a one-year limited warranty.

Diopter (D) is a technical term for the measurement of the light curvature and thickness of a lens. A dioptric number and a magnification number are not the same thing. Diopter strength represents a specific magnification power (X). For example, a 5-diopter provides 2.5X magnification (at a distance of 8”). The higher the diopter, the more magnification a lens can provide. As magnification increases, distance to the object (focal length), and field of view (diameter, or narrowness of view) decrease. Magnifiers and prescription eyeglasses have a diopter value, such as 1.5 or 2. The dioptric strength of an accessory lens, such as prescription eyeglasses or an eye loupe, must be added to the dioptric strength of the magnifier to calculate total magnification.

Magnifiers are devices used to enlarge the visual appearance of an object or image. Magnifiers come in a variety of styles such as hand-held, headband, standing, clip-on, eye loupe, and those that hang in a necklace form, or fit in a trouser pocket. Magnifiers are commonly made of plastic or glass. They can have one or more lenses with varying magnification abilities, and can have a binocular configuration with a single lens, or two separate lenses. They are sometimes used with LED or fluorescent light sources to help control viewing capabilities. Magnifier ability is often expressed as magnification at a specific length. For example, 1.75X at 14” means that when a magnifier is held at 14” from a viewer’s eyes, the object will be magnified 1.75 times (X) its actual size. As magnification increases, viewing areas and focal length decrease. Magnifiers sometimes have a diopter number, expressed as + or - D, which is a measurement of strength (or power) of the lens. Some magnifiers are marked with a dioptric number on the lens. A high diopter number has a higher magnification than a low diopter number. Aspheric magnifiers, unlike spheric magnifiers, produce a sharp image to the edge of the lens for less distortion. Magnifiers are widely used in jewelry inspection and fabrication, watch-making, electronic inspection, needlework, artwork, reading, print inspection, and stamp-collecting.

I did an extensive amount of review before I settled on this phone system. They did not disappoint. The battery life is great. The sound quality is excellent. The range is superb, as I can walk over a 100 feet away from the house and still get a signal. The interface for programming them is simple. I really like about the fact that they are all synced so that when I edit a custom phone number on one of them they all update. They have a port for a plug in headset. The speaker phone is nice and loud and doesn't distort or cut out. Did I mention the batter life is great. :) Simply a great phone system.

I bought this about 1 year ago, one of the fan motors is not working - or, shall I say - moving very slowly.
I do not recommend this.
I did not use it too much either.
Sorry, this is the first negative review I have ever written.

We just bought a new (to us) house and with renos and the purchase, we were trying to skimp on the accessories (such as airconditioners) for this year... our house is on a corner lot and we generally get good airflow when the wind is moving, but on a hot day with no breeze, these fans were life savers!!

Obviously these are not air conditioners and are not going to help you in a heat wave, but they work very well on those hot days that cool down in the evening. Without them our house was still hot if we went to bed by midnight... but these fans, strategically placed, had our house cooled down in a couple hours and were quite quiet.

The noise is noticable if you are listening for it, but its not going to drown out a tv, radio or your own thoughts. I'm a very light sleeper, and they never disrupted me. They generate a lot of air movement, don't look bad and are reversible(we've used them to vent the kitchen after cooking fish!).

This cheap little fan is just that, a cheap little fan. Blows minimal air and after a few hours one fan quit working so I obtained an exchange and now after one season one of the fans quit operating. Do yourself a favor and buy a real fan.

I needed temporary sheets for my queen sized bed until I could afford the more expensive ones. I have an additional pad on my mattress, so I expected them not to fit quite right after washing. Boy was I wrong. Not only did they fit like a glove, they felt very nice against my skin. I find them a cross between regular sheets and flannel sheets. I am very glad I ordered these, and have since decided to keep these and not order more expensive sheets. No need to bother now!

These sheets fit a memory form mattress about 13+ inches deep very nicely. Do not think that they will be a perfect fit but they fit well enough so there are no problems. These were our first microfiber sheets and I will order another set.
The reason for the four stars rather than five is that the set comes with 2 pillow cases rather than four. The sheets wash well and appear to be durable. I would give these sheets as a gift and know that the receiver would be happy with the set.
